Peer Restorative Practitioners

10th April 2024

Congratulations to our Fifteen Year 12 and 13 students who recently completed their training with the Education Authority to become Peer Mentors in Restorative Practice.

The boys gave up their own time after school since November to complete their training and are fully deserving of their accreditation. The boys will now meet with the Restorative Practice staff team to discuss a structure for their provision to students. This will be presented to the students at assemblies outlining how they can avail of this support.

Today the boys attended a multi-school shared education opportunity at an EA workshop in St Comgall’s. Here they shared good practice and ideas with other peer teams from various schools. The First Minister Michelle O’Neill addressed the room at the end of the workshop and spoke highly of the young people for becoming peer practitioners aimed at helping other young people.
