GCSE SUCCESS 2016!
St Mary’s Christian Brothers’ Grammar School is celebrating success in its GCSE results, with 90% of students achieving at least 5 GCSEs at Grades A* to C.
This represents an increase of 3% over a five year period.
Jordan McDonald (8 A*s and 3 As) was the top performing student.
Anthony O’Mahony (7 A*s and 4 As), Niall Ward (6 A*s, 4 As and a B), John Maguire (4 A*s, 5 As and 2 Bs), Adam O’Neill (8 A*s an A and a B), Owen Crilly and Lorcan O’Ciarian (2 A*s, 8 As and a B) and Luke Cassin, Michael Gray and Matthew McCarry (4A*s and 6As) also achieved superb results.
These results reflect another highly successful GCSE year for the school.
Over 90% pass rate at grades A* to C was achieved by our students in Art & Design, English Language, English Literature, Irish, Personal and Social Education, Double Award Science, Single Award Science and Sports Studies.
St Mary’s Principal, Mr. John Martin, is delighted with the school’s success. “Once again St Mary’s has produced a superb set of GCSE results and demonstrated continued improvement. I would like to congratulate the outgoing Year 12 students and their parents on their well-deserved achievements.
