The St Mary’s PTFA Quiz returned to the Assembly Hall last Friday night and what a night it was.
Nine fiercely competitive teams lined up under starter’s orders and set off on an 8-round thriller that went right to the wire!
General knowledge, sport, television and cinema, history, catchphrase and two music rounds all put the collective knowledge of the hall to the test, and then some!
At the half-way point, the Quizzy Rascals led Hugh and the Bunnies by two points, with four rounds to go, but a poor second general knowledge round saw the Rascals relenquish their lead, never to be regained.
Hugh and the Bunnies finished first overall, 2 points ahead of second-placed Quizzy Rascals, followed by Liz Lettuce Down in third and Kelly’s Heroes in fourth.
A huge pot of prizes was won across all of the tables and the PTFA is very grateful to all who contibuted prizes so generously, both individually and through community partners.
