The school has been asked to circulate the attached documents from the Public Health Agency and the Chief Medical Officer to parents.
The PHA guidance relates to the revised arrangements for the identification of close contacts in schools. The letter from the Chief Medical Officer on the same issue is for the attention of schools, parents and pupils. The PHA has also provided a warn and inform letter that schools may issue at their discretion if they become aware of a positive case in a cohort of pupils.
These documents will be published across a wider range of media. To help to ensure parents are aware of the Chief Medical Officer’s letter in the coming days, we have been asked to circulate his letter to parents at the earliest opportunity.
