Progressive Building Society recently welcomed students from St Mary’s Christian Brothers Grammar School for an interactive work experience day.
The 15 students were given an insight into various roles within Progressive to help them gain a better understanding of the roles and functions within the financial services industry.
A level students, some of whom are studying a Certificate in Financial Studies, others Business Studies, took part in a finance challenge which sought to draw out the students’ personal skill sets and match them with the needs of the business.
Speaking about the day, Declan Moore, Operations Director said, “Businesses in Northern Ireland must continue to support the development of young people in order to provide future generations with the skills needed to build a knowledge-based economy. Investing in hosting days like these enables us to provide a greater insight into a future career in the finance sector and helps equip students with the knowledge required to make informed choices in the years ahead.”
