Many congratulations to all those pupils who were presented with a certificate by the Pastoral V.P.

It is now time for all students in Year 9 to focus on the very important summer examinations which start on the 20th June.

Congratulations to the ECO CLUB who won the Wheelie Big Challenge run by Belfast City Council.

The boys ran a food waste project in school for the last month to increase the volume of food waste going to compost.

All Yr8-11 students should now have a copy of their summer exam test timetable.

Pupils should only attend for their exams and go home immediately after.

There will be no tuck shop or canteen facilities available.

Only Yr 8s are expected to attend school on Thur 28th June.

The Student Council has been working with the Parent Teacher and Friends Association to look into enhancing the lunchtime experience for our students.

The PTFA recently secured over £8000 via the National Lottery Grants Scheme to purchase outdoor furniture to enhance the student experience in St Mary's and provide an area conducive to the promotion of positive mental health.

We would like to have student input into how this money is spent and would invite all students to complete the short survey via the following link. This will take no more than a minute of your time.

St Mary's was proud to have been part of a truly uplifting event in the darkness and light of Saturday morning.

Walking with over a thousand people, each with their own reasons for being there, our school community walked together to break the stigma of mental health issues and to say that it is ok to talk.

We look forward to Darkness Into Light 2019.

Boys from the Social Justice Advocacy Group today connected with Cardinal Newman College in Buenos Aires Argentina to discuss human rights issues.

The boys looked at Article 25 and the right to housing, while the Buenos Aires pupils focused on Article 2 and equal entitlement to rights and freedom.

We look forward to engaging again with the Buenos Aires pupils and hopefully the technology gremlins can be addressed before then! #ERI #EREBB #stillsomebody
