Pupils from 10E helped Jo from Belfast Hills Partnership weed the hedgerow that was planted in 2018 by our current Year 11s.
The original purpose of the hedgerow was to provide a habitat for pollinators that have been made homeless by modern farming methods. The hedge row is slowly getting established but needs weeded regularly. This year the task fell to 10E as this class has the greatest number of Eco Club members.
The boys were very enthusiastic and did a great job making sure that the hedge was not being choked be grass or overgrown by briars. Jo was very impressed with their energy and enthusiasm.
