All Year 14 students took part in our Mock Interviews programme on 16th December 2015 in St Mary’s University College.
Eighteen local businesspeople generously offered their time and expertise to help us run this large event. Each year this is the most popular part of the Year 14 Careers Programme because students are gaining real life experience in job interviews alongside meeting and getting advice from their employers of the future.
Students are prepared for this event for several weeks in their timetabled career classes. Local employers come in to give advice and all students complete an application form for the job of their choice. The school’s careers adviser then matches students to employers so that the mock interview is as realistic and as close to the student’s career aspiration as possible.
